Join them for the Creative Fusions in Roma live community concert featuring an ensemble of local musicians and professional teaching artists led by Dr Anthony Garcia. \n  \nThe main event starts at 7pm with a free screening of the London Symphony Orchestra’s performance of Mahler’s Symphony No.7\, led by internationally revered conductor Sir Simon Rattle. This will be a delayed broadcast\, originally performed and recorded at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre in April as part of their Australian tour. \n  \nFascinating and rarely performed\, Mahler’s Seventh is the dark horse of his symphonies and follows a journey from night to an almost blinding dawn. The heart of this symphony is ‘music of the night’\, with Mahler taking inspiration from Mozart serenades and lovers singing beneath windows\, creating a nocturnal kaleidoscopic dreamworld. \n  \nThe delayed broadcast for the London Symphony Orchestra’s Mahler 7 concert and the Creative Fusions in Roma live community concert will feature as part of a weekend of cultural celebration with the opening of the 2023 Sculptures Outback Festival on 17 June. \n  \nSpend the night with Mahler and the musicians from Creative Fusions in Roma in a celebration of local and international music. \nFood and drinks will be available for purchase from 5.30pm onwards.
