Wander down the street and meet local characters through a series of rustic metal statues around town.

INJUNE LAGOON WALK
Enjoy a relaxing walk along the 1.2km track a short distance from the town centre. Go early morning or late in the day to see the birdlife and marsupials that frequent the lagoon.

When you can’t decide which sights to see, why not see them all? From Australia’s largest cattle selling facility in Roma, to a 288-hectare National Park north of Injune and the historical red dirt Cobb and Co stagecoach run between Surat and Yuleba, this itinerary promises a journey of discovery across the region.

The Dingo Barrier Fence holds the record as the worlds longest fence. You cross it a number of times when travelling through the region.

Hoothalucodinnyamungo is the longest place name in Queensland and located when you cross the Great Dividing Range between Roma and Injune. Hoothalucodinnyamungo is the Aboriginal name for this section of the range.
